A quick thank you and warm holiday wishes to the sponsors and HB for the holiday contest. I had a lot of fun, won some gifts but found, before halfway through, that I was getting to know the sponsors and their specialties while my interests grew. I talked to or contacted a number of the sponsors, ordered some gifts for myself and, to keep in the holiday spirit, for others too. I still have some more to order. The contest was fun, informative and the gifts are appreciated. On several gifts, when I called to claim them the staffs were so nice I bought additional product. I was pleased to spend more with the sponsors than I ever planned. We all benefited, I believe, and enjoyed ourselves at the same time. Thanks & Happy Holidays to y'all!

I appreciate your post, Bob! And as a compliment to the HB membership, several sponsors commented on how much they enjoyed talking with the winners. Many expressed their appreciation for sponsoring the contest. They're a harried bunch this time of year and the kind words were sincerely appreciated.

Jim from 1st-line, who contributed the Mazzer Mini, is already talking about another contest! Hey Santa, slow down!

While I was unable to convince myself to spend the money (I'd just made a purchase right before the giveaways started, and pretty much have everything I need), and contemplating getting a new machine (as soon as I can find a buyer for mine), it made it impractical for me to take advantage of the deep discounts that were offered me. I wish I had waited, or had my new machine right now, I'd be going broke!
This doesn't mean that I don't truly appreciate the folks who support and sell on this site. It really does have a family atmosphere, and there are very, very few of the internet insulated bad attitudes that I see on so many other online Fora.
I think that these kinds of offerings, both from Dan as an instigat... organizer, and the sponsors, help to make it so.
Happy hanuchristmakwanzadan!

Well, this seems like the thread to say thank you to all the sponsors and Dan... I think it was great for everyone involved, the sponsors, the HB members, and the HB forums themselves. Thanks everyone.

I took advantage of my Surprises to stock up on coffee and a few goodies, most of which is sitting in the deep freeze now.

From Intelly, some Black Cat, an espresso cup and cappa cup for me, and some cups for gifts. The Black Cat is about gone and the cups ROCK! My favorites for sure. Shipping on ThaRiddla, niiice!!
From Rocket Coffee Roasters, the trifecta, the big three espresso sampler pack, free shipping, niiice!
From Olympia, just received the free mug with my Big Truck and Morning Sun espresso order, gratis shipping, niiice!

And a shout out to Miguel at Paradise Roasters, for my Holiday Delight free demitasse and 1 lb of Espresso Classico. I took a few shots out of the bag before I froze the remainder. Very nice indeed.

Just this morning I noticed that the two million views mark may be within reach around Spring too. For those that missed it, I'm referring to the HB 1,000,000 message views countdown contest. It was fun... Dave even pulled an all-nighter, only to miss it by one post! :?

These messages have been seen over 1.9 million times.

Hello Gentlefolk,
I was wondered where to place my thanks! Thanks to H-B and the sponsors who made a game out of learning / advertising.
I learned a great deal about coffee, preparation, equipment, and the services furnished by the sponsors. The Holiday Giveaway was a great chance to see more than my "get 'er done" ordering had before. Winning a couple of treats was a real nice thing too! Thanks to all!
sincerely
Richard / espressme
PS. I spent a bit of money on orders too!

At the current clip, we should hit 2 million before the end of January...

May a mouse make a house in your portafilter.

But back to the point, the HB sponsors have always come through. From the tamper road show, birthday sale, holiday giveaway, equipment loaners for reviews and out right good deals for the HB readership, you could not ask for a better group of venders. So buy some coffee, get a gadget, upgrade that grinder or get that machine you have always wanted. You won't be disappointed.
