Hi
I have an older Professional that seems to work ok to make one cup but once the pressure drops it wont build up again until the machine is turned off and allowed to cool down. Do I need a new pressure stat or thermostat or something else ??

Brendan:

I don't know if your problem is the pressurestat, but, if you decide that is the problem, I have a brand new, OEM, never used pressurestat assembly, part number 451308, that is for sale. This is a pricey part, costing $93.00. With shipping the total damage was $102.37.

I would be willing to sell the pressurestat for $60, and that would include UPS ground shipping anywhere in the U.S. If you want third business day expedited delivery, that would be an additional $8.

For an explanation of how I came to be in possession of a brand-new, never-used pressurestat for a La Pavoni PC-16, see http://community.webshots.com/album/501856419ynPQMP .

Thanks Dane
I don't know what my problem is yet but as I live in Australia, I think shipping would be an issue plus maybe the voltage ?

I found the problem if anyone is interested. The tube that connects to the pressure stat was blocked with some crud and now that's fixed the machine works much better. I found the info I needed at http://www.pavoniexpress.com

Bredan:

Glad that you found the problem, without having to replace the pressurestat.
