How do you communicate and teach what is largely a tactile/sensuous experience via an electronic medium? From smelling and tasting to visualizing the water dance, and feeling the grinds as they distribute under your fingers, and listening for just the right sounds from milk steaming, espresso and milk-based-drink-making is a daunting, albeit extremely rewarding, endeavor to pursue, never mind teach (how do you like that for a run-on sentence?). And to do it all as successfully as H-B has done it is truly amazing. In the year that I have been using my HX I have, thanks to you all, begun to recognize what good espresso might be. You all (and my tastebuds...) have been the measure of my espresso technique and product, not some local cafe where I could go to sense and ask questions (I don't have one!).
This is a long way of recognizing all of your efforts and generosity, and saying thank you. Happy (belated) Birthday H-B. Thank you Dan; thank you all.
p.s. I bought some coffee with the sale discounts, but am awating the monster grinder review that I read might be coming (soon?) for a grinder upgrade....
