Anyone have contact info for the Good Coffee Company?

I am looking for a PV Export and Zass grinder and thought they would be a good place to look.

Do you think they would have a problem shipping something cross-country? (Don't want to bother them if I don't have to)

Thanks,
/mw

Joe is the owner and usually gets in at 10AM M-W,F. Don't know if they will ship. Just ask.

They might have a couple of Zass left. The PV Export is supposedly "on its way" from Italy. Or maybe "will be on the way".

Good luck.

Ha-ha-ha. I just got off the phone from talking to them. Prof_stack and PeaceCup should be getting a cut!

The Export is due within 2-weeks. The bad new is that it is within $100 of the Lusso, and the Microcasa a Leva is less than $400 more expensive. I admire the simplicity and small size of the Export; I just wish it had a more petite price to go with it.

Based on its price, I'm no longer so sure which machine to get.

So the Export is about $550, right? If so, that is still cheaper than the LaPavoni and a better built machine, imho. The Lusso stainless is $35 extra, btw ($685, which I think is cheaper than other places now selling it).

I can't comment on the Microcasa e Leva but at $350 more, it might be worth it if you have the $$ to spend. Otherwise you'll not be unhappy with the heavy duty well-balanced PV lever machine.

Good luck!

I'd buy the Lusso instead of the Export with that small a difference. You get at least three times the water capacity and hot water as well as steam. It is really quite a small machine if you are worried about space. I also wonder if the price of the Export has gone up, if the Lusso will also with the next shipment.

Based on reviews the MicroCasa should be a step up, but, I've had great shots from the Lusso.

Joe ships all over the country as you probably know by now.

A used La Pavoni from a reputable ebayer or similar could cost less than the new Export. I've rarely seen used PV's, and used Elektra's always cost more than $500. I've never compared a La Pavoni to my Export, but others may have had experience with both. They're different, and each might be better suited to a different individual's taste. When I bought I wanted new, so the Export was the best option, but I got mine as a closeout. I'm sure you'll be happy with any lever machine once you've taken a few practice pulls,

Check this demo Export out:

If still available, seems like a good deal.

One could probably sell it for close to $350 on ebay if they didn't like it, so it sounds like a good deal. I got mine from Vanelis, and they were good to work with.

EDIT: So I made the purchase on-line, and Vaneli's contacted me to say that it was posted on their old shopping cart, and that the Export is not actually currently available from them...

Very disappointed

Before I read down to Dogshot's message I also ordered it. No e-mail yet, but I am just waiting for it.

If I get it, I will be surprised. If I don't, I won't be upset. Luckily there are some interesting machines on e-bay right now - I will probably wait for them to close before calling the good coffee co.
