Going to take the plunge with Elektra Microcasa a Leva - chrome or chrome/brass?

Hi all
my first post.. It is a bit scary! :)
I have finally made the decision to buy an Elektra "Micro Casa a Leva"
Should I go for the all chrome or the chrome and brass?
I love the brass idea but I am worried that the brass might scratch easily?
If anyone has a Chrome and brass, I would be most grateful if they could let me know what it is like.

Thanks
Kevin

I have the chrome and brass model:

I like the looks, but it's true that the brass scratches more easily than the chrome and the scratches are more noticeable. If you plan to use it daily, the all-chrome model would be a more practical choice. Then again, who buys an Elektra to be practical?

I think I will go for the Chrome and Brass, I just hope I will be happy with the Elektra.
This will be my first lever machine, I have been using a Gaggia classic for the last 4 years.
The thing I am looking forward to is frothing milk, the gaggia is ok, but not fantastic.
It is a difficult and expensive decision to get wrong :)

I vote for chrome. In my opinion, it's the prettiest.

I have finally received my Elektra "Micro Casa a Leva", boy! It does look good.

Made one cappuccino, tasted amazingly good for a first attempt.

My next purchase will be a proper grinder, I already roast my own beans
with a Hearthware Home Roaster. Home roasted beans taste far better.
I am now looking forward to many months of making coffee.

I have been lurking on these forums for quite a few months
agonising over which lever to buy? I think I will be happy for quite some time to come.

Thank you to everyone on here. I feel I have made the right decision.
:)

Kevin,
Congratulations! I think everyone will agree that there's not a better looking espresso machine out there. And, it makes great tasting coffee, too.
I wasn't born in Texas, but got here as fast as I could!
