Check out the new adornment on my Micro Casa Leva. Not as much of a "bling" factor as the Mercedes emblem, but my bully likes it much better this way.

I likey. I had been talking with Dan about pimping out a machine like the shows on MTV or Discovery channel and you have done it my man. I saw a picture of your handles on the Thor site. How were they to work with and how long did that process take/cost? I have a rebuild coming up and am toying with that idea.

Well based on the hard work that you have put in this machine I am honored to grant you LMWDP membership and grant you member number #011 based your outstanding contribution to the brotherhood.

Beautiful job.

That caused me to toss out a "heck yeah"....I'm honored to join the LMWDP.

Les had my handles finished in about a week. I mailed him two nuts that fit my PF and lever handle, and he bonded those into the handle. I certainly recommend the handles, they have held up remarkable well. (plus I think for the craftsmanship and personal touch he puts into his work is worth far more than the meager fee he charges)

As for the Mack truck bulldog, I was looking around on EBay at cool hood ornaments when I remembered my Bulldog emblem that was part of a cigar ash tray. So I went through some boxes in the attic, unbolted him from the tray, and he threaded right onto the top. The best part are his eyes, which look like he is completely wired  , how perfect.

That really looks great. Now that machine has personality. I had looked at an older 1983 Elektra and noticed that they originally came with wooden handles...but not quite the quality of those.
