Dan....my comment/suggestion is for those who haven't experienced the delights of a SO espresso...I recently purchased and roasted a fine Brazilian Cerrado.....the"slightly" simplified taste profile (at least to me) really allowed me to focus on the various taste elements.....and I believe allowed me to sense where my roasting skills (or lack thereof) had taken this roast...because it's a single bean,. I was more easily able to adjust my subsequent roasts, and really experience the slight variations. This is not to say that blends are out for me...on the contrary, I still roast several green blends provided by various online roasters..as well as blending my own...still...I look forward to trying more SO's in the future....I printed out a list from one of "Malachi" (Chris's) blog entry's from the past...hopefully, I can locate some of his choices...though undoubtably the lots are different now.
Regards, everyone.
