I was on vacation last year in Sicily, Syracuse to be exact. We were having breakfast and I noticed two local men drinking what appeared to be a milk based drink out of espresso cups. It looked like very little milk was in the drink and the rest was filled with espresso. Does anyone know what type of drink this may have been? I watched the men consume about 3 each.

Michael.

It was probably a macchiato, or if it had whipped cream an Espresso Con Panna.

Thanks Abe. I've heard the term before but have never had one. Not sure if it was whipped cream or milk. It seemed frothy on top but very easily could have been whipped cream instead of frothed milk. I'll give it a try!
