This Jam will be co-located with the Philly Fresh Cup Road Show, October 12-13 in Cherry Hill NJ.

Lacking a site to link to, here are images of the promo flyer with programming.

A handful of us from Aldo Coffee expect to be there on Friday. If you're going from the Pittsburgh area, maybe we can coordinate?

Why don't they ever do anything in Ohio? They hit all around the state, but never land in it.

At least I have a week in Chicago in another two days.

Dave,

Yeah, I "feel" your pain! It seems they never do anything in Pittsburgh, i.e. WESTERN PA, either.

Len,
We're working on that. Maybe next year.

Here's the big challenge - you go to NY or DC or Boston, the baristas visit each other's shops and work together on improving the community's knowledge and appreciation of the barista's art and education about quality coffee/espresso.

Here in Pgh, most shops tell us to basically f-off. Everyone thinks everyone else is trying to put one over.

Rich,

Yep! That is the problem with this wasteland called Pittsburgh! I attended La Prima's first ever "Coffee Class" a couple of Saturdays ago. Other than myself there were only 2 other attendees: both women who were definitely NOT espresso people. Here are some picture of that.

Still, I would think that a proper espresso fest (of some sort) at Aldo's Coffee would bring in more than a few.

Poor Dave looks so lonely in that top photo. It is disappointing that nobody showed up.

Did a roadtrip last week to Squirrel Hill with one of our baristas. Went to 61C for first time since they got the notice in Pittsburgh mag. They were using LP, but the head barista had no idea what blend - he just showed us an unlabeled, undated brown bag (no vacuum/nitrogen flush). I think he was surprised at our surprise.

Btw, one of our more geeky customers brought us a 1/4 lb of your acclaimed FTO to play with. We'll pull some shots tomorrow to check it out. If it's as good as you say, we'll bring some down to The Cho this weekend when we visit DC and really put it to the test on that Rolls Royce machine of his.

And, we may talk to Sam about it - with three of us going to compete in the Mid Atlantics this year, it'll be tough to use Black Cat for everything - need another option.
