I have tried to read everything about the E61 lever type, but I haven't found anything about my problem, that is: The lever is sliding to a middle position after brewing. I have found out that the "stem 22" have been worn down. But the machine is only one year old. Is this normal ?

I've read a couple accounts of "lever creep", but cannot recall the solution. The only force acting against the lever at rest is stem (17). If the cam lobe was off, the pressure from spring (19) could push the lever up. :?

Never heard of that one. It's quite surprising. Do you live in an area with very hard water? Scale build-up would accelerate the wear on the moving parts, but one year? Hard to believe. Would you post pictures?

Thanks for quick reply HB. I have ordered the part 22, 7,17, 9 (it came as one part) and I will post a picture then, when I am dissembling it. Everything looks nice and clean. Every third day I do a session with espresso detergent and good backflushing. It all started after ½ year when the level started to get noisy and then really hard, after each cleaning session. But after some jus the coffeeoil makes it smooth and the level slides to middle position.
