Details continue to finalize and a telephone call last week from the manufacturer tells us that everything is on track for machines to be available the first week of June. Thanks for your continued interest.

This is probably going to irritate Terry even more than I have so far. Guess he'll just jack up
the price and call it "special" just for for me....

I take the price is changing and doesn't reflect the price currently on home-espresso.com (vs. the
slightly hidden page on espressoparts.com)? Which I can understand given that it's probably a new
shipment off the docks.

Another questions to add to the previous list -

Will the dispersion disc on the Mini, be the thick one or thin one? Or has Dalla Corte changed it to
something else entirely?

Or perhaps the other take on that is, assuming the standard dispersion disk is still the thick one, will
the thin one be available as an option?

Also, do you have a target date for when you'll start taking orders? Or - just be patient, and you'll
tell us during the first week of June...

Guess I'll go re-read Gammeltoft's review again while I'm waiting.

Seven more days... Hopefully, they make it onto that plane Marshall mentioned in the other post.

I suppose it's not all that bad. It took 10 years for Phoenix to be conceived, designed, tested,
modified, launched, and land on Mars yesterday. It's only taken Dalla Corte 2 years to
get machines to the U.S.A.

For the skeptics among you, I have exclusive footage of the Dalla Corte's being loaded for transport at Malpensa Airport:

From the "horse's mouth" today (Friday June 13): Mini's will be shipped from the Dalla Corte factory on Monday, June 16, most likely leaving Milan by air freight on Thursday, June 19. Customs should be cleared, and they should be ready for re-shipment from Dalla Corte U.S.A. in California the latter part of the following week. I.e., about two weeks from today.

I am reliably informed they will be using more advanced aircraft than the model in my illustration.

Good to hear, though it means shipping from Walnut Creek, approx. 45 mi. from me, up to Washington,
then back down here.

Thanks,

You need to pull an 'Italian Job' style heist. ^^ If we hear about a long, high speed chase up the 5, with some whack-job in a Mini Cooper tailing an 18 wheeler, and the driver pouring bags of Starbucks beans out the window in front of the big rig in an attempt to get it to jack-knife...we'll know the truth.

Anyway, this is all nonsense. There is no Dalla Corte. We're doomed to a limited existence of dreaming about the Doubledomo or Vivaldi.

That just blew my cover and after I had the Oakland Airport UPS terminal all staked out. And paid
some day laborers to camp outside of the Walnut Creek office with a cell phone.

The Vivaldi is getting pre-infusion - one's choice of mechanical or programmable. And that's here this
week at Chris' Coffee.

Good News.........

While there have been delays, it is far better than other machine events that have occurred in recent months.

The final certification of the machine has taken place and we will be prepping machines for distribution starting this week.

Take it from me, Terry Z, I will let nothing stand in the way of your absolute happiness with regards to Dalla Corte espresso machines.

Please contact me Early this week, if you plan on being one of the first to receive certified Dalla Corte. I will return all emails and phone messages with regards to these machines on Wednesday June 25th in the order they are received. If you have contacted me prior to today, your name is already listed and I only need a confirmation of your request.

Cheers,

Terry Z

Wow, the field of dual boiler machine is getting very interesting.

Many of the reviews of the Dalla Corte Mini's are from a while ago. Now that the systems are in production and being shipped, are there any changes from the old review to the units now in transit?

Example:
PDF contains alarm signal (sounds when tank-filling is required)

While reviewer said the LEDs blinked.

terryz wrote:To say that none of the vendors have stepped up to offer a Dalla Corte for review would be incorrect. However my understanding is that the HB review "TEAM" are swamped and that there are no commitments to a time frame for reviews.

If there are members of the HB community that are interested in product testing and review, I would be happy to look at that option. If you are interested, please let me know.

When the machines are available for release we have chosen several professionals in the industry to provide feedback, in an unbiased manner.

With the machines becoming available soon - any news on a 'feedback' (review) schedule? Greg Scace mentioned he 'expected to see one soon'..

I checked the website but could not find any info on parts for the DC yet (baskets, screens, backflush disk)?

Rapidly Building Pages as we go. The new images will replace what you see tonight as there have been a few adjustments to the exterior. I cannot directly address questions regarding new vs. old as I'm only familiar with the new machines. What I can tell you about the new machines is that they are awesome!

Here is what I have up now http://www.espressoparts.com/cate...chines___grinders/

Some of you have seen this via the google link that allowed a back door entrance, however the pricing now reflects the current pricing. Parts and parts diagrams will be loaded by the end of the week.

Oh, Also for fun check out this beauty that Dalla Corte Rolled out in Copenhagen this past weekend.

Remember, Espressoparts.com and Terry Z highly endorse this line of espresso equipment as one of the highest rated temp stable machines on the market.

It's here. I love it. It pulled the promised flavors out of Ecco Experimental Espresso #4 that I couldn't find before. I'll wait until more time passes before commenting again.

Glad to hear you finally have it Marshall :D
Is it a DC Mini or Super Mini ? Will you keep your cyber Zaffiro along it ? My father have been eyeing the Super Mini to replace his Cimbali M29 next year, but he is not settled yet.
Anyway, have fun with it...

I'll sell the "Bionic" Zaffiro in a few weeks, when I'm confident the Mini has no problems (none so far).

FYI Super Minis are very tall and will not fit under standard cabinets. They are really commercial machines.
