The place where my wife works, The Roanoke Natural Foods Co-Op (on Grandin Road) has, as of yesterday, started to carry Counter Culture Coffee! Not sure exactly which beans/blends they are carrying, as they took the salesman's recommendations on the initial order, but it's available in Roanoke, VA now! Unfortunately, they didn't get any Espresso Aficionado OR any Espresso Toscano in this shipment. They DID get some Espresso Forza, but it's already more than 2 weeks post-roast!

My Wife called me to tell me and started reading off the coffees that they DID get, but, 'twas too many (and she mangled some of the names), so I just told her to get me a couple of bags that were roasted on or after Feb 22. I ended up getting some Gayo from Aceh, Sumatra (drinking an Americano of that right now! :D) that was roasted on 22 Feb and some Finca Mauritania - Aida Battle from El Salvador that was 2 days post-roast! That's sitting in my freezer right now.

Over the weekend I'll try to get down there and get an idea on what's in the store. But right now I'm definitely enjoying some of the Sumatra! I DID find that, with my Factory, this seems to work best if I flush a bit thru the group WITHOUT the P/F and basket locked in! I warm the P/F and basket a bit less by rinsing under some hot water from the tap. First cup was VERY nice that way!

While I don't have any issues with ordering from the Internet, I have a tendency to want to see it first, so I'd not gotten any CCC coffees as of yet. I'd figured I'd get a couple of bags the next time I went to the Raleigh/Durham area, BUT, Now I can get it pretty much any time I want! I'll have to talk to the buyer and get her to order some Aficionado and/or Toscano next time!

My wife's the "Housewares buyer" for the store.

EDIT: I've discovered a MAJOR problem with the CCC Sumatra coffee! It goes WAY to fast! :D My Americano is just about gone! :(
