The poll below was on the front page back around March. So how many of the 80% followed through or will be doing so for the holidays? Looking at my calendar, there's 85 days until Christmas...

I would love to trade up to an Elektra A3, but given the fact that I am on my 4th machine and third grinder this year, I should take a break. Maybe next year. Take a look at my Be Thankful For What You Have article on my blog for my thoughts.

I'm planning to buy a 'proper' grinder... I feel somewhat inferior since reading the threads on here and I must do something about it!

Think I'd like to add the Quickmill Alexia for its straight shot capabilities.

Talk about resurrecting an old thread, but I will bite. I mentioned I would love to upgrade to an A3 (two years ago). Patience is a virtue, as is an understanding wife...

I just upgraded to a second-hand Rancilio L7 commercial HX machine, and am quite happy with it. :P

Have a great weekend!

I didn't follow through with my March poll vote (which was no). Bought a used SJ (again) and Mini-E doserless funnel conversion ETA tomorrow or Tuesday. (Got a very decent price on SJ burrs and conversion parts from Owen - Phaelon56)

But the PID'd Linea 3AV in the final rebuild stages doesn't count since it won't be for home use! Though the SJ may also end up in soon to be cafe for SO or Decaf shot duties...

hmmmm, upgrading?
I guess yes as I have already bought another grinder (Anfim Best for £50 shipped! feels like an upgrade as this one doesn't need it's own room) and if the postage gods keep smiling I'm taking posession of an Olympia Cafferex NT in the next fortnight - is that an upgrade or just a road less travelled?
At some point I'm going to have to start selling.

I figure a yes to upgrading in any given year will cover all bases, so I DID follow through. I'm usually right, ha! This year I went from a Silvia to an Astra Gourmet HX G.A.P. (as of now I don't think I'll ever have to upgrade again...riiight) and the Gaggia Factory was sold to make room for an Olympia Cremina, with another one expected here in 3 days. Sell one get two, nothing wrong with my math right? I guess the grinder has not been upgraded (Macap) so I got that to look forward to next year. Only time and a detour from divorce court will tell.
