I found the above machine at a garage sale for $25. I didn't know what I had until I started to research the web to figure out how to use it. My question is what should I use to clean it on the inside. The outside is pristine! But I would like to clean it before using it.

lucky you, for $25 a machine that runs on ebay for some 700/800 and new runs for more than 2,000.

There is an article in the forums under the lever espresso machines by S Robinson who dismanteled the Olympia to its minimal nut and bolt. From his description, he advises to replace all the gaskets. Most used machines for sale on ebay are abt 10 to 25 yrs old. If you are mecanically inclined go on and redo the machine, if you are not and must have it "re put into use" it will cost quite a lot.

now if you are not coffee inclined and you want to sell the machine you will make a huge profit out of your investment. let me wish you the best

FYI- The first two numbers in the serial number will tell you the year it was made. The access to the inside is very easy- Take off the fill cap, take off the thin nut on the threaded neck. The square top chrome piece will then come off and then the entire surround will just lift off- that is it. Good luck and good reading

Can't beat the price. I would peg it around a mid-70s model. Now we have all seen the outside...let's see what is under the covers. Looks like you stole her.
