Greetings,
Well you have started on an epic journey... I have been roasting for 3 years (Just a beginner) and have come to fully realize the infinite possibilities of outcome when using just one blend alone.
You may ask how is this so? Well lets consider some of the questions: Did you blend your roast or did you roast each type of bean individually and then blend, did you age your beans together as a blend, under what conditions did you store your beans, how long have you stored them, what temperatures did you use during the roast, at what points during the roast did you vary the roasting temps., what type of roaster did you use (gas or electric, home built or semi-commercial), what type of roasting basket or drum was used, how uniform was your roast and can you consistently repeat each roast... etc.
Then you get into the green beans that you've purchased...What crop did the beans come from, what area of a region per country were they grown, from what farm or estate did the beans come, under what conditions were the beans processed, what process was used, from whom did you buy the beans stateside, did you buy in bulk or minute quantity...etc.
Yes you have started on a real adventure... treat it that way and enjoy the ride.
As far as blends... there are starter blends offered on a variety of common coffee lovers websites both commercial and private.
