Sur La Table has all the bodum glasses.

If you have one locally, it's worth going in to see if they have any bodum on clearance. I was actually buying bodum shot glasses when the lady at the front mentioned that there were some bodum glasses on the clearance rack. I bought 2 bodum Martini glasses for $2.50 each!

I saw those in the store and was very tempted to get a couple. I wonder, with the way the top of the glass curves inward if it's possible to sit two side by side under the portafilter and have the stream of espresso separate into each bodum glass. It seems like they may not get close enough together. Looks like if necessary, you can hold the two glasses by hand so the streams of espresso will go in each one properly, but that would mean you couldn't steam simultaneously. However, it may be worth the compromise being able to see through to the espresso, milk and microfoam. I have the larger 12 ounce glasses and it's really fascinating to see the inside of a latte. Especially when it's first poured, there are many tiny bubbles floating to the top much like a fresh poured glass of bear.

The only problem with those glasses is that they are extremely fragile, do not put them in the sink with the other glasses. They always need to be washed separately. One little mistake and they are shattered. And you also have to be extremely careful putting ice into the glass, especially if it's empty. The ice can easily crack the glass. I've done it all and replaced many of them. Lately, breakage has been to a minimum with those because of all the learning pains.

Well I got tired of waiting for new Intelly cappa cups so I went shopping on the 'bay.....

And look at what I found! (For about $15 delivered....)

Antique Syracuse china cups with saucers :D
Very high quality, nice shape, perfect size (approx 5 ounces)

Nice Rosetta Jon. I need to work on my latte art, I haven\'t put enough effort into it to get the swing right on a consistent basis, but 90% or more of my drinks are espresso now days.

I have several different sizes of the Bodum double walled but I rarely use them for coffee. I they just keep things to hot, on the other hand, they work wonders for a single malt, tequila, port and beer.

Thanks for the compliments guys....

Interesting note about the tulip-shaped cup is that it seems to keep the foam thicker on top so that the drink seems to have a thicker texture when sipping, and of course there is less room for a rosetta to form. It seems like the wider-shaped cups let the foam spread out more for a thinner layer on top.
