Does anyone have any thoughts regarding which tamper profile is best for the cremina?

This image from Reg Barber's site:

I would think the difference of 3-1/2 mm between the deep curve and the flat base would make a difference.

Tamper for Cremina

I've had good results with both flat and Eurocurve tampers over the last year.. YMMV
Also a tamper that fits the basket is better for me! Most Cremina baskets. Stock, MCal, LaPav Euro, are about 49.4 and greater to normal tamping depth.

Dont know if this translates across machines:

It depends on how much you overdose and the shape of the shower screen.

If you don't overdose and the coffee never touches the screen, IMO, the shape is irrelevant.

If you overdose a little, a nice match between the screen and tamper profiles gives a bit more leeway.

If you overdose a lot, the greater the profile mismatch the bigger the mess.
