I am tuning my machine after a rebuild and am curious what others are running their boiler pressure at. It was originally set at 1.5 Bar but was blowing the pucks apart during pre-infusion.
I dropped it down to 1.25 Bar and seem to have solved the puck issue. I can get 200 degree water with a heating flush and my shots seem great and getting better all the time.
Am I in the ballpark or should I crank it back up and try grind and tamping solutions?

Thanks!

The pressure on my Gaggia is at 1.2 plus or minus. Hope this helps!
I wasn't born in Texas, but got here as fast as I could!

I have my setpoint around 1.1. If your current efforts are good then stick to what you are doing.
cheers

Excellent! Thanks

I have tons of steam at 1.25 Bar so figured I was OK. Just curious of any benefits to higher pressure (other than running my model steam engines longer :)
