He's playing it close to the vest. Tony already passed around mockups of his redesigned website, but hasn't talked much about his plans beyond that. I think he is enjoying the speculation (e.g., Jasonian: "I'm pretty sure that Caffe Fresco is no more.").
Yeah problem with speculation, especially of that sort is that people may believe it and forget you, and all the work you've done to build your brand would be lost!
Good to see an update, albeit a mysterious one. I was beginning to wonder if Caffe Fresco was coming back at all. Was expecting its return during late August or September.

Lucky for him, Jon R. corrected me pretty quickly. I nobody ever said I was always right!

Yes - I spoke with Tony recently. He's getting closer to re-opening his web business so stay tuned!
I believe that we can expect some news in the next month or two.
Just replying to my own post. I got an email from Tony, and he's still working very hard. Fresco is still to come back. It has taken a lot more time than anticipated as he's doing all the construction himself.
What did he tell you? Was he on a buying trip? Is he reconstructing his shop? Enquiring minds want to know! Perhaps he advised of a possible grand re-opening date.
Just an update for people anxiously awaiting Caffe' Fresco's return like I am.
Clearly Tony underestimated the amount of work he'd be doing for his roasterie. He just passed electrical inspection and should have building and plumbing inspection soon.
I recommended he send an email out or at least update his page so that people don't assume he's gone for good. I'm hoping he takes my advice:)
I guess the bottom line is, he's still going, and is getting close to finishing...or so i hope! Hope he hasn't lost his roasting and blending touch!
I'm eagerly awaiting Tony's return, but i really think he's being his own worst enemy. He could easily update people on his web page that hasn't been updated for a year. I don't know why he hasn't, i've advised him to do that, but to each their own.
Since I've never had the opportunity to order from Caffe Fresco, Tony is more myth than man at this point. Maybe he likes the mystique... some kind of viral marketing tactic!
But honestly I do agree that someone that builds up a brand in the community should stay engaged in the conversation if they wish to maintain the value of that brand. When the keeper of a brand stays silent, they produce at best, rumors, and at worst, silence.

I'm reminded of a Monty Python movie...
And today the man who is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma sent me and Abe an e-mail. No substantive news on Caffe Fresco, just a photo:

We'll see, he also offered to send out some coffee.
