Hi,

I'd like to put my machine on a timer-it's a cimbali m30 and is 220, using a nema type plug(30 amp) and the pin config is 14-30.Has anyone used a plugin or wired timer they can recommend? I'd prefer not to use a timer at the breaker box as it's 2 floors away and I'll change the start times pretty often as I work all different hours and sleep at various times and want to have the machine come on 45 min before I wake. Thanks,

Mike

If that is a two group M30, you may want to revise your warm-up time. A commercial box takes closer to an hour, minimum to completely heat. I give my two group Faema an hour and a half before use.

I just realized you were asking for a 30A timer. I wanted to add that the timer I linked to is only rated at 20AMPS, but 5000 Watts, so YMMV. How many watts are you pulling? I would think at 240V, you wouldn't be over 20A, but I may be wrong.

That plug that's on the machine (nema 14-30)is rated for 30 amps but I'm sure that timer you told me about will be fine.I looked around and it seems like the perfect thing and not too expensive.I'll just change the plug and outlet to match and try it out.
