Possibly?
One factor you should consider is that a huge advantage of heat exchanger machines is they flash-heat cool, fresh water on demand. This gives you the best-tasting water (as opposed to old, heated water from the boiler). If you plumb into the hot water line, you'll defeat this advantage.
Moreover, I don't think that espresso machine pumps are designed for a hot water supply. You may shorten the life of your pump.
Finally, a heat exchanger works by running cold water through an extremely hot environment to predictably heat it to a desired temperature on the other side. We flush to tune this to the right temperature. If you use a hot water feed into the heat exchanger, you will find it takes much longer to flush down to the desired brew temperature.
I would strongly recommend against hot water supply for these reasons.
