The pump works and shuts off at preset level but water continues to flow into boiler causing overflowing.

Without knowing the machine I'd suspect the pump is plumbed in to water supply under pressure? If so I'd expect there is a pressure operated valve somewhere that is staying open allowing the boiler to fill...or something along those lines...
