networkcrasher wrote:My point was speculating that the boiler is 90.5 instead of 905 would be inconsistent given the fact that the brew boiler is listed as 100x180, which leads to 2.54L. (v=pi * 90^2 * 100) -> 2.54L

I'm not sure where you get a height of 90 and a radius of 45. The only two numbers given by resellers have been 905x180 and 100x180. Were you just reverse engineering the boiler numbers from the given 1.4L?

One boiler is listed as 1414ml 100x180mm

So diameter=100mm => r=50mm and height =180mm
and pi x r^2 x h = 3.14 x 50 x 50 x 180 = 1 413 716.69 mm^3 (cubic millimeters) = 1.414 l (liters)
(1 liter = 1 000 000 mm^3 *)

Second boiler is listed as 905 80x180mm

So r=40mm and h=180mm
with the same formula as above Volume=904778.68 mm^3 = 0.9 l

(*edited to remove "cubic" from "cubic mm^3" because it was redundant. Thanks cafeIKE for pointing it out!)

In a different thread, Tim (trakt140) posted a link to a German website (vendor) with internal photos of both Vibiemme Domo models (vibe/pourover and rotary/plumbed). There are seven photos, three for the tank, and four for the plumbed-in model. Rather than re-posting here, the site is: http://www.systermann.de/galerie.

Clicking on each thumbnail will blow up the photo to a really good size/resolution.

(Thanks, Tim.)

Cheers,
Jason

Hi there,

Does anyone know if these will be markedly different from the first shipment? Or will they simply contain the larger boiler and upgraded structure?

Thanks

Given Vibiemme's quick response to the shipping damage issue, it seems unlikely that some fine tuning of PID parameters, thermosyphon flow, heaters, sensor position, etc. have not taken place, given the length of time since the last shipment.
