I'm very excited about this machine. I'm considering an upgrade to a Vivaldi II rotary, so clearly the rotary double boiler interests me. I would like to keep a 58mm group mostly b/c i already have tampers and PFs for 58mm.

I hope HB gets a review machine soon!

Do you have any ballpark figures for the price? We won't hold you to it. Will it be comparable to a Vivaldi II price? ($2k) or considerably more (since the rotary HX is at 2k, i imagine a dual boiler would be quite a bit more?)

Cannonfodder: neither of those is the dual boiler rotary.
The 1st is the dual boiler vibe, the 2nd is the HX rotary.

Sorry about that, misread your question. I believe those are the only variants that will be available soon. I believe Jim put the other iterations out to around midyear for the start of production, best case. That would probably make delivery around 4th quarter. I have not heard any discussion of price on the rotary DB machine.

I'd like to see a conversion kit to transform the dual boiler vibe model into a plumbed in rotary for future options. I like having the flexibility of the tank so I can put it anywhere, then again, plumbing in would be killer. I have seen the plumb in kit at Chris' that has a "floater" type refill valve that can be inserted into the tank, but that keeps the vibe around.

I haven't followed this machine as long as many have followed the GS/3, but I hope it doesn't turn into another GS/3! The coffee shop I purchase all my beans from also is a retailer for high end stuff, and they told me to check out the DB Vibiemme but it would appear information is few and far between. How big are the boilers? Who makes the PID? What's the electrical requirements? What does it _look_ like? How well does it perform?

I'm a little nervous about pre-ordering such an expensive product without their being anything backing it up.
