Vibiemme Domobar Junior DB loses brew pressure

Postby Schott on Tue Jan 03, 2012 9:35 pm

Hi,

I recently ran into problem with my beautiful sweetheart. She sometimes loses pressure while I'm making the espresso. I shipped it from Sweden to Montreal a while ago and I'm not sure if the problem happened during the trip here.
Anyone know what the problem can be or can recommend a place in Montreal where I can get it looked at?

Hope someone can help me since I'm getting desperate :=O

It is difficult to hear because of the talking and microphone sensitivity, but it sounds like the pump gets quiet at the same time the pressure drops. Use a voltmeter on the line and monitor the voltage at the outlet when it happens. It might be that there is another appliance on the same line (or lighting, fridge, etc.), and that could be the cause. Particularly if the heating element in the VBM comes on as well as the other devices on the circuit. If you are in an apartment it could be something a neighbor is running.

You are right, it sounds like the pump it switching off when it happens. I also believe you are right when it comes the the fridge being connected in the same outlet. I will move to another one and do another test.
Thanks for the help and hope it works! :P
