Hey all,

First post and it's not a happy one! :(

I just bought an ECM Giotto from an online seller who claimed it to be in perfect working order... On arrival, it just spits water out from the part below the group rather than it coming through the group head.
Movie of the sad.

PLEASE HELP! I was so damned excited, i've never had a machine this good. Or bad?

That's the overpressure relief valve, which indicates the brewpath is 100% blocked. Assuming you want to do it yourself, I would start with Randy's Overhauling and Lubricating the E-61 Group. It could be a worn pin or clogged gicleur. Randy's guide covers it all.

Thank you! I had a look at that guide yesterday but thought to wait till someone more experienced chimed in.

Many thanks for your expertise. Now to talk with the seller about ethics!
