Thermometer for the Bezzera Strega ?

I was watching "Eric's thermometer", in the thread below, and wondering if it could be useful to fine tune Strega's extraction routine ...

That particular thermometer configuration could not be fitted to the Strega. If you can find a Taylor 9844 in Brazil, they are VERY EASY to disassemble and mount on the machine with some high temp velcro and the thermistor bead with a small piece of aluminized duct tape. Send me an email and I'll send you the instructions.
Now, all of that said, the thermometer (for the Strega) would likely not be useful because the grouphead is kept hot primarily by the two 50 watt cartridge heaters. You may even have higher powered heaters fitted to the non-US electrical version. It would tell you fairly quickly that one/both of the heaters (or thermostat switch) has died but that would be a remote occurance.
