You could always get two pistons of different sizes and I could turn a double ended handle for the pistons.

I will wait for a reply from Reg and will buy his if I can get it with both bases at the advertised price otherwise I will be interested in what kind of wood you can turn up in the $45.00 range.

I do like the looks of your work very much.

A lot of woods fall in that range. I wonder how difficult it would be to use. When tamping it could be more difficult to get an even and level tamp since you cannot push straight down on the tamper due to the piston on the top. I would be more inclined to get two tampers personally but to each his own.

I will take your advice. Sometimes a simple reminder of the obvious is enough to wake one up.

I prefer the rounded slightly oval (teardrop) stubby handles I like bubinga. Is it feasible for the price or should I pick another wood.

Do you take paypal?

Would you like payment today (08/11/11?)

I will email you.

I got this handle in the mail today. I have to admit the wood and finish on your handle is much better looking than the wood and finish on the handle of a tamper I have made of the same wood by well known quality tamper manufacturer.

I must shamefully admit I did not expect your handle to look that much better than the handle made by one of the world's most respected tamper manufacturers. I expected good, a little better, or almost as good, but you have gone beyond that and proven to me that a handle is not just a handle.

I am glad my curiosity led to a learning experience. Hand made slowly can indeed make a big difference.

Thank you very much.

Now to order a 40mm base for my LM single basket. I currently have your handle attached to a 58mm tamper that sits on top of my Brewtus it looks too good to not have on display. It may stay there.
