Please send me your paypals if you want in on these baskets. I'll order them tomorrow.
You can send me a personal email telling me what you want and I'll get it - you can pay later (whenever)

I'm keeping track on email - so if you want it please please send me email to JonR10-atttt-yahoo-dotttt-com

Here's the price list: $10 for a 18gr and $5 for a 14gr and add $5 for shipping.
Pay with paypal and use that to send me your shipping info.

Hey Jon,

I just emailed you. I'm in for two of the 18g baskets. I'll paypal you in the morning if that's ok.

Thanks again for doing this.

I'm just curious, as I do not frequent the Geek site anymore, but these look like standard baskets. AFAIK Synesso sources these from the same vendors that I do.

What is special about these?

According to CoffeeKid:

Mark Prince wrote:Right now, the best basket I've ever used has to be the Synesso double basket. It's what I've been using for half a year now, and until something better comes along (and I'm hoping it will at some point, because there's a lot of work to do in baskets), it's got features I find valuable in proper extraction:

  • the steel used is thicker than most other filter baskets I have (and I have about 200), so less flex from tamping or pump pressure.
  • the hole pattern seems more consistent and less random than other baskets
  • the placing of the hole pattern overall is well centred in the bottom of the filter basket - LM baskets seem all over the map these days in this regard
  • there are no initial plugged holes in the filter baskets (I'd say about 50% of the filter baskets I have would show some manufacturing defects in the filter holes - some are simply not pressed all the way through)
  • almost all the filter holes are an even size to the naked eye - can't say the same about the 2 dozen or so LM double baskets I have.

I'm skeptical, but willing to spend for a few baskets to find out.

OOPS - looks like Dan beat me to the punch!

Anyway....the 18 gr baskets they sell look different than any I've seen before (or course my experience is limited).
Would you like me to get you one? :P

And btw, will you get some ridgeless 21gr triple baskets sometime?

But will a 58mm Reg tamper fit? LM is a crapshoot, some will fit some will not.

I have had LM baskets that had 4 or more holes that were not punched. I open them up wit a pin. My basket bottom's also develop a bow after a few weeks of use. I take them out to the garage and put a piece of ¼ inch U channel on it then whack it a couple of times with a hammer (the U channel not the basket). That flattens the basket back out.

Paypal and email sent for one 18gr basket.

It is very hard to tell, but it looks like the 18gr ridgeless is slightly deeper than the EPNW LM ridgeless double that I have in my hand. Time will tell!

Thanks Jon.
