Switching vibe to rotary?

Postby bgn on Wed May 06, 2009 4:18 pm

Lot's of opinions and experiences here regarding vibe pumb and rotaries :!: , which is not a debate I wish to re-open, but am wondering about any experiences that people have had switching vibe pumb machines to rotary. I own an older cimbali junior, which can be had with either vibe or rotary within the same machine frame. Mine is vibe. When I replace the pump could I put in a rotary instead?

Surely, I would lean heavily towards "yes" but the best path would be to compare a parts listing of your La Cimbali machine in both configurations. The source for such a list would be a local Cimbali distributor.

One that I am aware of who could likely point you to a dealer/distributor much closer to you is here: http://www.americanspecialtycoffee.com/
