Just bought a Rocket Giotto V3 a few months back, and it's recently started acting a little funny - hoping one of you can help me diagnose.

There are two separate, but possibly related, issues.

1) After the pre-infusion, the pump (I believe) squeaks/whines as it gets up to 9 BAR.

2) If I steam milk and then attempt to pull a shot, the brew gauge fluctuates pretty wildly between ~7 and ~9 BAR. It does not have trouble staying at 9 BAR if I am just pulling a shot.

Happy to provide any other info if needed. Thanks in advance!

Are you running off the tank? If so, make sure the feed tube isn't kinked. Or if using an in line water softener (plugs onto the feed tube), disconnect it to see if that fixes the problem. I replaced the vibe pump on mine, turned out to be a clogged softener....

I am running from the tank, so I'll check that tube. Thanks!

Anyone else have any thoughts on this? The store I bought it from has agreed to swap it out with a new one. However, I'm also curious if this is an inherent flaw of this model.
