Here is the first round of testing George performed and their results.
Definitions:
Steam Temp Ready - time to reach set pressure (1.4 bar - green indicator lamp comes on).
Brew Temp Ready - time to reach set point (201F) and hold set point at idle.
Method:
Steam boiler turned on. Minute/second timer ready. Turn on the power and note the time of the events.

Brew Temp Ready was a wash. Both modes brought the brew boiler up to temp in about the same time (as was expected). The clear winner here in the Steam Temp Ready test is 20 Amp mode. With full power roaring, that steam boiler gets up to temp quick. However, neither mode is ready for pulling shots before a normal 40-45 minute warm up or 25-30 minute warm-up with the group wrapped in a towel. So not a major victory for 20 Amp.
Second round of test was the steam boiler duty cycle. Next test was steam performance.

Next round was steam performance.

We are now installing a separate DC SSR and three-position switch for anyone wanting a Duetto in 110 volt 15 amp. By doing it this way the machine can function either in 20 amps or 15 amps with the flip of a switch. Much like our La Spaziale Vivaldi machines do. All machines will not ship this way only those requesting the need for 15 amps. We are able to absorb the cost of doing the conversion and still sell the machine for the listed $2,295.00, which includes shipping. We offer a discount on any machines purchased that are not interested in the 15 amp availability.
