Steam wand knob turns but doesn't stop flow of steam

Postby pakkito74 on Mon Nov 07, 2011 10:02 pm

Hi... I am new to the site and this is my first post. Thank you in advance for any help.
I just bought a new Alex Duetto II and suddenly after steaming milk I tried to close the steam. The knob turned normally but the flow kept going. I had to turn the machine off.
I called customer service and they told me to remove the cover of the knob, the c-clip and remove the knob to look for a loose piece. I don't see anything that is loose. I even remove the valve and don't see anything wrong. I tried to reassemble, but know I can't put the c-clip back on. It looks distorted. Should I buy a new c-clip? I am still not sure this will fix the flow issue, since the c-clip was fine before I removed it.

Any ideas on what could be the problem with the knob not closing the steam flow.

Thanks again!!!

Problem solved. There was some sort of washer lose in the back of the knob. It was a simple fix once I was able to see what was really wrong. I received support from Chris Coffee to get it corrected.
