An industrial supply house would be a good place to start. I don't know if McMaster Carr serves Canada. You need to know the size, which you can get from Parker's website. You need to make sure that the o-ring material is compatible with the temperature and compatible with food service.

this is so irritating. I just went to 2 different stores in my hometown and they just gave me puzzled looks when I tried to find the same thing. You would think that O-rings are a pretty common item, especially at a hardware store.

I have one more store to try before I resort to ordering online somewhere. I was looking for rings for the bolts that the mushroom in the grouphead. ..

It is a surprisingly confusing market place for o-rings - lots of different designations across metric and american sizes.

Amazon has a nice selection of o-rings from the Small Parts company that come in reasonable package quantities. I was able to get a inexpensive supply to keep the Mondiale's valves functioning for the indefinite future.

The o-ring you need for your vacuum breaker is OR102 - but don't get too excited yet. OR102 is from an Italian specification which has evidently(?) been overtaken by other specs. I BELIEVE the proper o-ring for this application has a width of 1.5 mm, an OD of 7 mm and an ID of 3 mm and material = silicon.

LM shows it as OR102 in their Linea parts and Synesso talks about it in their troubleshooting manual. Gary was being kind when he said "It is a surprisingly confusing market place for o-rings - lots of different designations across metric and american sizes" and Greg was correct to reference the Parker catalog. Here is another listing to look at: http://o-ring.info/en/o-ring/Oring-Handbook/ERIKS_SealingElements_TechnicalHandbook_O-rings_SizeCharts.pdf .

You are going to waste enough time (and possibly money) by trying to fix this problem that you are so much better off by simply buying a replacement valve and then soaking your existing valve in white vinegar for about 30 minutes. But, if you insist :) , McMaster-Carr has your o-ring - it's just a question of coming up with the absolutely correct size.

Silicone o-rings are (or can be) used in a variety of places in espresso machines. They're no easier to get in my town than in most other places. If McMaster-Carr serves Canada then their large package of assorted sizes will keep you supplied for any possible need for a long time to come.

200 piece assortment with twelve sizes and is FDA compliant - at less than $15.

OK - I had a math error - my apologies. Maybe your best bet would be to take the o-ring to an industrial supply house as previously recommended.
