Salvatore's New Dual Boiler Machine in the works? - Page 3

Oh man, here we go. Been using a Salvatore semi-auto every day for 4+ years. Love it. Been to his shop several times, he and his wife are just great. A real craftsman.

Craving more control. Damn it's $5k+

Beautiful work, but I have yet to be convinced that a PID-controlled double boiler makes sense at that price point with an E61-style group hanging out in the air. I suspect that the "real" price of a GS/3 these days isn't significantly more.

Jeff,

The street price of a GS/3 last time I checked was less than the $5,600 asking price for the Salvatore.

To which street do we have to go? Who sells the GS/3 for sub $5600.

Numbers seem reversed.. it's $6500, and add $200 for the paddle group.

You guys are going by the MSRP, not the actual selling price. I have an email from CC (Mary) with a quote of $5495 shipped, with my choice of regular or paddle. Their price may have gone up a little since that quote, but that's why you call and talk to an actual person to get a price. I can send you the email if you don't believe me.

Randy, who's changing extra for the paddle. Chris Coffee has it for the same price.
