Removing power cables from La Marzocco Linea heating element

Hey everyone,
Still working on the tear-down of my Linea 1EE and I've hit a small roadblock.
I've looked around the forums at other members' Linea threads, but haven't seen this particular question addressed.
I'm trying to remove the power cables from the heating element, but they're covered with some pretty thick shrink-wrap that I'd rather not cut off if I don't have to. So, I can't see how the cables are attached to the element's terminals. Pulling straight out with moderate force didn't do anything. I don't want to damage the cables or the terminals during disassembly, so any pointers on how to remove the power cables would be greatly appreciated.
The photo attached is of the steam boiler's heating element as it currently sits.
Thanks!

Hi, I would cut it off and put some more heat shrink on when you put the wires back. Alternatively you could look where the wires go, If they go to a terminal block you could take the wires off there? Just a thought.

Craig and Stefano,
Thanks for the reply! I wanted to be sure before I went ahead making more work for myself. I'll cut off the heat shrink.
Thanks!
