Recommended Elektra T1/A3 water line pressure

Postby UFGators on Thu Jun 30, 2011 8:30 pm

I just got my new Elektra T1 setup and I have been experimenting with some different input pressures for the water line via the inline regulator. What psi range should I keep the machine in? I appreciate the input.

From Water pressure and the effect(s) it may have on rotary pump:

They are clearly stated in the Owner's Manual too

The Elektra A3 has a stock gicleur that restricts the pressure ramp up ever so slightly; I recommend ~2.0 bar inlet pressure.

I have my mains at about 3 bar, just a hair under it. When the pump kicks in the regulator pressure does not drop below one bar so I know it has ample supply volume. The machine shows 2 bar of static pressure and just under 3 bar on the regulator under the coffee bar.

Just noticed you are a UF, I went to OSU. In your case, I would set the mains at 12 bar.

I'm not bitter about losing the game...
