Rancilio Silvia will not heat up

Postby Leonard Bayard on Sat Oct 01, 2011 9:21 am

Hi Everyone,

I did a search but couldn't find anything relating to my current issue. Just all of a sudden my Rancilio will not heat up (at all). The heating lamp just stays on and never goes off.

Pump seems to be working fine, comes out of the group head and steam wand like normal but just won't heat up.

Any advice here? I was thinking it must be the heater, any possibility it's the thermostat?

Thanks in advance for any help,
Leonard Bayard

Hopefully only the overheat thermostat. More troubleshooting steps here:
