Hi all
My Anita has been behaving strangely lately. It doesn't shut off when the reservoir is empty. As a result, the pump keeps going until there's no water flowing through the machine. I looked at the small magnetic float, and it isn't jammed or anything. It still floats up and down with the height of the water. Any ideas what the issue might be? It's working just fine, if a bit loudly, otherwise.

Is it trying to fill the boiler or are you seeing this when pulling a shot? Note the magnetic float sensor only cuts power to the heating element, not the pump (this is to allow you to finish pulling the shot). The float will deactivate the heating element while there is still enough water to finish a shot.

If you're seeing this while its trying to fill the boiler, then it may be an issue with the float sensor without looking at it I can't comment further, hopefully someone else here can.

Be happy, one more BS "feature" you don't have to worry about. Last thing each day, refill the tank.

As Tim said, the pump WILL NOT TURN OFF, when the machine runs low, or out, of water. Only the heating element will turn off. Look at the two lights next to each other, green and red. Both of those should turn off when you're low on water. The other green light on the left, will stay on(the power light).

So, if this is the case, nothing is wrong.
