Can someone interpret want this sentence form the product PDF means? "The pump is a gear pump with electromagnetic pulling."

It means the motor is magnetically clutched to the pump to allow the pump to have a variable speed.

Yes, that is a good point. And now to eat my own words, I just watched a slew of Vesivius videos from users and I am flip flopping. It looks kind of cool. The marketing pics straight on the front don't so it justice, it is a very unique style.FotonDrv wrote:The QM machine has the PID located above the Group, the hottest part of the exterior of the machine. Looks like a real hand burner to me. The Vesuvius has the PID offset to one side of the Group.
At the same price the two machine would be hard to choose between. (Also, agree on the comic sans nameplate, it would have to go from the Andreja).

I actually think it means the motor is magnetically coupled to the pump so there are no seals and water can't leak into the motor.sluflyer06 wrote:It means the motor is magnetically clutched to the pump to allow the pump to have a variable speed.

Good call, I might be giving them too much credit, I found a breakdown of the components and the motor is variable speed.ira wrote:I actually think it means the motor is magnetically coupled to the pump so there are no seals and water can't leak into the motor.

Seems that gear pump magnetically coupled are suggested for corrosive liquid....does this mean that the sealing is better and lasting more than in classic rotary pump?
My first think, is that a magnetic coupling should drastically reduce any vibration transmitted by the motor shaft since there are no mechanical junction between pump and motor....intriguing matter, it deserve more search.

There should be no seals at all. So no seals to leak.

Is anyone using the Quick Mill Andreja Profiles already? I'm torn between the Quick Mill and Vesuvius. I like that Quick Mill is built on an existing established platform but I'm not sure if it offers all the features Vesuvius does. In particular I'm interested in the ability to manually switch profiles during a shot. Any feedback/internal pics from existing owners would be very welcome.
