Question about these vintage Quick Mills with the external knob for adjusting pump pressure...
Can that knob be used while the pump is running? I.e., can I start off a shot with low pump pressure, ramp it up during the extraction and then taper off at the end? You know, kinda like the "pressure profiling" a skilled barista might do on the almighty Slayer machine... ???
Here's what I'm talking about... A Quick Mill "OMRE" (aka 0650, Super Quick, etc... not sure exactly which this is) with a knob on the side like so:

A more distinguishing feature of these machines is the heat element control knob, which you click to one side or the other, with warm-up and full-blast settings either for brewing or for steam...

Curiously, this model also apparently has two rather distantly-located lights on the front. I guess one is for "power on," one is for "temp is ready", but their distance apart for some reason confuses me.

Anyway -- I'm really most interested in the possibility of mid-shot pressure profiling, if anyone has any experience with these machines. I may or may not make an offer on one that's for sale right now. Any other major pros/cons I should consider would be appreciated as well (temp stability, boiler material & capacity, steam performance, parts availability). Thanks!
