Programming Volumetric Buttons of Astoria SAE Junior

Postby godlyone on Sat Jan 02, 2010 12:21 am

Hi, I am almost finished restoring my Astoria SAE Junior (will post final pictures after it's fully finished -> Astoria SAE Junior (CMA/Laurentis/RIO) Refurbish Log )

I am trying to program the volumetric buttons but can't seem to get it.

This is what I am trying to do:
1. Flip the small switch on case to enter programming mode [in the picture it is on the chasis and says "on"]
2. Press program button
[All dosing button LEDs light up]
3. I press the first dosing button.. water flows [led goes from solid to blinking on that button]
4. Press Program/stop again to end flow

[should it remember it now???]

5. Press program again now 3 LEDs light up (all except the one i already "programmed")

6. Continue these steps for all buttons
7. Flip switch to non-program mode
8. Pressing any of the buttons does not do anything?

Here is a picture for reference (it's a before refurb pic but shows the control panel and small switch well)

Just wanted to update everyone...

My flowmeter wasn't working properly as the LED wasn't flickering when the water was flowing.

New flowmeter [top piece w. electronic parts] and now everything works fine.

This thread is also good for anyone trying to program their machine as the steps outlined above (1st post) are correct
