Problem with Quickmill Anita

Postby JeffBlouin on Wed Jun 15, 2011 8:50 pm

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with my Quickmill Anita and I hope someone will know How to fix this...

I went on vacation for 3 weeks so I removed the water from the water tank. On my return, I refilled the water tank and started the machine. The Pump started to fill the boiler. i left the machine open for 30 minutes but when i tried to pull a shot, the boiler pressure was at zero and the group head was cold. If I pull the lever, water flow through but it's Cold... The boiler doesn't seems to refill itself.

Only the green light on the left is turn on. The red one and the green one on the right are turn off.

How can I fix this... ?
Thanks alot

Check the float in the water tank. If it sends a low water signal it will cut out the heater.

Thanks, I just did that and the floats seems to be floating alright... When I push them they come back on top and seems to be floating.

Any other idea?

Thanks

Bill had the correct idea.

You need a ~4" length of 14 gage wire with male spade terminals on each end. With the machine off and unplugged, substitute this length of wire for the connections to the magnetic switch on the reservoir support.

You are, in effect, now telling Ms. Anita that you always have a full reservoir.

Assuming this works (pretty sure it will) we can go from there.

Not really, from everything you've mentioned it sure feels like the water tank level sensor is acting up.
Take the tank out and give the sensor itself a wack is about all I can suggest. Since it worked before your vacation I'm thinking it's something simple. If the wack doesn't work try contacting Chris in the morning. His tech guys are pretty sharp.

Oups....

Now I feel realy stupid! The reservoir was on the wrong side. The Float thing was on the right instead of the left. I got that reading the new Anita manual on Chris Coffee website.

Sorry for the trouble ;-)
Now I can't wait to try the Epic espresso I bought yesterday!

thanks Jf
