Pre-infusion on my Promac

Postby Lockman on Fri Feb 06, 2009 4:23 am

Can't I just hit the button for a moment for pre-infusion? I have been doing that a bit lately and the only problem is then my doubles a bit over the top. Seems like I could program 2 buttons to make it work. For example, first gicar button, 3 seconds, wait a moment and then hit the next button programed at 3 seconds less (or whatever) to follow up for the double. Or I could just turn hit the button again turning off the water flow. Any input on this?

Well on further investigation I am not so sure about the whole pre-infusion concept. If I am not channeling or extraction problems why bother? My interest was peaked by the VIVALDI crowd and wanting to upgrade board for better coffee. Now I am reading no real benefit and I can't taste any real difference yet... :?
