Thank you. It was the grinder that was the inspiration for the color combo.

No, it's all terrible ;). Actually I travel for work and I've been fortunate to come across some really great spots. Now I'm going to be pretty upset that the majority of the coffee shops I will come across (aside from my usual haunts) will not be as good as what I can get at home.
chrisbodnarphoto wrote:I've always been a sucker for the black + white combo - out house is pretty much identical in that color scheme! Will your tamper add a splash of Colour? I've always loved a splash of yellow or red thrown in at times for good measure! :D
You have great taste! The tamper is a Peruvian walnut Slayer tamper that matches the wood on the machine. The wood color choice was inspired by our dining table. Pretty cool to bring a clean and simple machine to life with a small touch of wood.

The Monolith showed up today, finally a working espresso setup again. Sadly, there is no 220 yet to plug in the lever, but it's ready, completely taken apart and rebuilt with all new gaskets and seals. And the E-61 cozy to help it warm up faster and save electricity!

Jorian, nice setup! Loving the built in knockbox and pitcher rincer!

Finally feel like I am getting there on my coffee bar... especially with the arrival of the Monolith.
I built a little bean bar so I can have 10 single dose shots at the ready... starting to dial in different beans, and really like being able to suite my mood with section of coffee.

Looks like something from lost in space or Dr. Who. :)
