The quotes should be on "pa$$ion". I couldn't imagine spending the money people are spending on grinders!!

However, it seems to be a good rule that a good grinder can make great coffee even on mediocre espresso machine. So I can see why people spend so much on grinders, although whether or not they are "over spending" for what they do is another matter... lolz

BOAT, an acronym for Bring On Another Thousand.

Horse? Well if you could get a horse to eat coffee cherries and poop out the fermented beans then the horse might be useful and pay for itself

Why buy the horse for that? You can use your own digestive tract for free!

I have been using a La Pavoni Pro for just over a year and I have been very happy with it while always checking the classifieds here and at CG, CL, and eBay. Not really looking to buy but looking all the same. It is free to look, right? I had been interested in the BDB for a while but it would be a stretch to say I had my heart set on one. Well, on Tuesday I happened to be doing my once every couple days search on CL and came across a BES900XL. Now, I know the 920's are out there now and offer some more programming options as well the capability of a home descale, but at the offered price I was a very interested buyer. I contacted the seller and tried to play it cool, failed miserably, and in the end was more than happy to pay the asking price of $250 with spousal approval. I got her home and cleaned her up a bit, she was far from dirty, but had been sitting unused for a spell and had a layer of dust on her. So, now I own two machines but I am currently banned from buying one in the next calendar year. Oh well. Here she is with my first latte.
