WOW friends that give espresso grinders! Can you introduce me to them also. I am always in the market for new friends. Especially ones with such good gifting ability.
Brownie, that is one of the nicest home setups I've ever seen. Very neat and well organized. It actually has a spacious feel to it, not crowded at all. Nice pictures, too.

Yeah, OK, I am blind 'cuz I still can't see the Rocky behind the bar. In the "old" setup, yes. But in the new? (I feel like I'm playing "Where's Waldo?")

Thanks for the nice words SlowRain - and I'm quite happy about the setup. AND it makes great coffee
Slowly coming to grips with it, its my first lever machine...
The Sunbeam grinder was purchased new for around 125USD, great little grinder. I have bought a few as gifts, but some of them don't seem to be very well calibrated though. Of a total of five, two have been returned due to an inability to grind fine enough and no mechanism to adjust the zero point (at least none I could find). I see from this last grinder, they have redesigned the bean grabbing area of the burrs slightly. Its noticeably better, the older version often leaving a couple of beans in the throat unable to feed them through.
I know this may be a shot in the dark but I am looking for a travel grinder for espresso and I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction where I can get one of those sunbeam grinders. I have done a search and can't seem to locate anything outside the US. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I am considering a hand grinder for home use but I am looking for a grinder I can take on vacation with us and as we usually meet up with other family and I'm the designated "barista" a hand grinder for this application is not too practical as I will tend to make 4 to 5 drinks at a time and using a hand grinder for that many drinks will take forever. I do however want a hand grinder for home and hopefully have a lead on a good one now.

Cheers, the cups are Stainless Steel.

Its a Sunbeam Cafe Series EM0480, easily available throughout NZ (Farmers, Harvey Norman, Noel Leeming etc) and AUS (Myers), but I haven't seem them elsewhere in my travels. Are you after 240V or 110V?
They have an excellent matching machine, twin thermoblock but with settable temps for the brewing water of 92/94/96 degrees C. Never measured it to see, but pretty reasonably priced as well at 400USD on sale. Got one for my grandparents as a gift. Had previously given them my VERY old Krups, and even at 80 they took to it like a duck to water, so thought something more substantial would be in order. They have a fantastic series of TV ads as well for the whole range...
Unfortunately I think they are only 240V. I think Paul Pratt said he had one at home and that they were designed not too far from his work so he might know a little more. Thats if my memory serves correctly... or it may have been the coffee machine...

Michael, Those appear to be ss canning funnels. I just bought a couple for my Mazzers since I moved to a new house and the cabinets are too low for the short plastic hoppers. Besides the ss ones, you can also find old glass canning funnels for sale on eBay. You just need to find a cover that will fit. I saw a link to this site for someone that makes custom covers from beautiful hardwood. Rob

Those are likely this funnel. I have one on my Mini, works well.
