This is my setup. The grinder is sitting on the counter top out of view. In this pic you can see part of one sensor for water leakage under the machine. There is also another sensor under the sink where the filters are. If there was a leak, the water main would close.

That was the Has Bean premium espresso blend. Are you not using blends for espresso?

For now I am stuck with single origin coffees, but I will try to buy a blend soon. So is that premium espresso blend good? I am looking for not-sour drink, sweet, nutty.

Here's my 'new' setup. After a rather lengthy (maybe lazy) restoration of the Portofino, it is producing tasty espresso. Since I finally got it up and running, I had to find a grinder to go with it. I found this Astoria branded SJ luckily rather quickly and for a decent price.

Here's my former temporary location off the kitchen that was used while finishing the basement.

This was my "plumbing in" of the machine.

Here's the new home.

Behind the bar. On the extreme right is the milk refrigerator. Above the trash can is a tamp shelf.

Plenty of room to add a 2 group Linea. The outlets on the rear of the bar are on a dedicated 20A circuit, the outlets on the front of the bar are on another 20A circuit. The espresso machine is on its own circuit that was run with 10AWG so it can be 30A if needed. There is also a 220V 30A circuit wired for a larger machine in the future. Water supply and drain are, of course, under the counter.

To say "serious" is indeed an understatement, but . . . how do you get behind the bar???

Exactly what I was wondering... Perhaps he's a Dukes of Hazzard fan and just jumps/slides over the counter to enter and exit the bar. :D

I've got five. Okay, they're all hand grinders, but I like to switch beans fairly regularly. On any given day, I might pull shots from two different SO beans and a blend. Having one grinder dialed in for each bean makes it easier.

Or maybe he just likes grinders.
