Such amazing work, Bob! Congratulations on a successfully completed project. I love the lights.

Here's my latest, the T1 is on my bench as of yesterday.

So far, I am still settling in with the machine. The temperature control needs to be replaced, as the deadband on the Sirai has gotten to about 0.4 bar; I have an SSR and a PID, still waiting for a TC and an adapter fitting. In the mean time, the shots are well consistent enough to get repeatability and noticeable manipulation of the taste profile. I am still working on actually coaxing the profile I want out, but so far the clarity is noticeably improved over my E61. The acidity at its best is rather pleasant, noticeably higher than the E61 with the beans I am using.

Here's my modest set up. Chaotic and pale in comparison with some of the hardware some of you guys are working with. But it gets the job done.

Rancilio Silvia machine
Rancilio Rocky grinder
IRoast 2 roaster

I home roast. The ILLY containers are only used to store my blends. After discovering home roasting, everything else (beans from the store) taste bland and weak.

We tore the end of the house off and redid the kitchen. This is my space. Roasters and beans in the left drawers and sushi knives and gear are in the right drawers. It was worth four months of eating plaster dust.

I'm going to assume those syrups are for snow-cones...

Very nice setup. The K30 is a lot of fun to use.

Yes, Mark, I think my Vetrano is more narrow, so a trade will get you at least 2 inches more space. And I have the room for a GS3. Sounds like a win/win!

Actually, win/win would be for me to give you my GS3 AND my VBM DD that I have yet to sell in trade for that Vetrano. Sound like a deal?

Haha, Thanks!

I'm thinking I'm just going to move the drip maker off the counter for now. I don't use it unless company is over, so it doesn't see as much work as the GS3 does.

I converted the wet bar into a coffee bar. The sink was removed and a piece of Lexan placed over the opening to support the machine.Image

After 6 months of waiting (the last two with only a French Press), it has finally arrived...
