STCE wrote:My first post on this forum :D Kind of my "espressohistory", started out with a KRUPS espresso maker for about a year ago and it woke my intrest for espresso in a new way. Soon realased that I was intrested of steping up the game a notch. After som research started to look for Gaggia Classic or Rancilio Silvia with a rocky grinder or similar. For a couple of weeks ago I stumbled over a Rancilio Lucy in great shape for a bargin in a location nerby, and the rest is history as they say :)
Still struggling with concistency in shots but I coming along fine, I think ;) Is super pleased with the Lucy!

I have a PID kit order and yesterday kind of finished the "home espresso setup" still some final tuoches and some things to complete, but it is a start.

Have had a good time reading in this forum and looking forward to many more!

(here is my setup, hope I don't embarrass my self)

Here is my setup. Oscar I recently purchased for $350. Got some parts on the way to do some mods.

I also have an NS MCF grinder with a broken doser and an encore as a backup.

Marosmith, you scored big time on that Oscar, particularly in red. There was a red one in my area for sale for $1000 and it didn't stick around long.

Thanks. Part of my likes the black one better, but I'll live.

Here is an update for your viewing pleasure:

Ethiopia Yirgacheffe roasted 1.5 days ago. It hasn't fully rested, but very tasty. I just pulled a very tight ristretto: 19 grams in, 19 grams out in 45 seconds:
